Hair fall is a common problem these days, both women and men face this problem

by which in reality their hair used to become black, dense, strong, and shining

but in today’s generation, lots of stuff and other chemical materials are used to take care of hair

Instead of deriving nutritious substances from these the hair fall before time and start becoming grey because of them

The rate of hair fall increases as the age advances, during pregnancy hair fall becomes less

but hair fall increases after delivery for two-three months

The hair fall is more in patients of thyroid and cancer if they take oral contraceptive pills

Split ends and hair fall

Splitting of ends is normally a problem of dry or combination hair

In this case, the ends have more than one shootouts, this prevents the sebum oil to reach the end

thus the end become brittle and they fall off

If not treated split ends travel up to the root giving the hair an uneven length

Hair fall may be due to a variety of reasons eg:- tension, malnutrition, illness, pollution.

or when you find that your comb has more hair than your head and facing a problem in hair growth

If stress, lack of baldness diet, irregular sleeping patterns or wrong choice of hair-care products

you would rather have to keep your fingers crossed because baldness can strike you any day

However, you can always prevent hair loss in both cases completely or reduce the number of strands falling off

Overuse of hair dyes, hairdryer, and curling iron can aggravate the problem of hair fall, leading to baldness

Hence, do not use such products regularly, if you are facing the problem of hair fall

In case you are coloring your hair regularly, be sure to leave a gap of at least 6 to 8 weeks between each session

Tight hairstyles such as braids, buns, and ponytails can also lead to hair fall

Hair follicles are made up of protein. therefore, it is advisable to eat a diet rich in protein

Calcium is another important nutrient for strengthening the hair follicles and roots in your scalp

The next thing to a balanced diet is sound sleep, Do not compromise with seven hours of sleep

Because the irregular sleeping pattern is one of the leading causes of hair loss. Therefore, make sure that you sleep enough and on time

Haircare products should be chosen carefully because they would directly affect the growth of your hair
Never use harsh shampoos,

conditioners, or styling products
They would harm the growth of your hair on account of prolonged use

Try to use hair care products that have organic ingredients like the herbal ones

Alcohol and tobacco are the root causes for the majority of hair loss problem

Hence, quit habits such as smoking and consumption of alcohol
Certain medication can also lead to hair fall

Trim the hair every 4-5 weeks even if you are growing it
Avoid rubber bands, sharp clips, spiky brushes, and do not brush hair when it is wet

Wash hair at least weekly twice and do not over rub
Lessen the use of hair colours, dyes, and dry your hair naturally
Use amla in your food controls hair fall


Care for Normal hair

Wash once in a week shampoo, Apply a little shampoo on the head

Rub in well with the tips of your fingers than allow the shampoo to run down the hair length

Do not rub the ends of your hair vigorously, If the hair occasionally looks as though it needs a conditioner

mix the yolk of two eggs in a cup of lukewarm water and beat together, massage it into the head

cover your hair with a polythene bag and leave it in place for 10 minutes

After this rinse the hair with lukewarm water and then shampoo it

Oily hair

Wash it just before it starts looking and feeling sticky once in 4 days

If not washes for a long time it may cause spots on the face and back

Chose a lemon-based shampoo and pay attention to the head when massaging the shampoo in rinse it thoroughly

Add a little vinegar to the final rinsing water to leave the hair very clean

Care for Dry hair

Shampooing once in a week is the need of this hair type followed by conditioning

Rinse the conditioner off very thoroughly to avoid stickiness, Follow this treatment once in 15 days

Warm 2 tbsp of olive oil and massage into the headcover head with a warm towel in a turban

Leave it so for half an hour then rinse away and shampoo your hair in the normal way

If your hair tends to fly away avoid using hair spray

Instead, put a dab of cream conditioner on your brush before styling your hair

If your head is dry do this massage cup your hands with fingers a little apart

and press the pads of your fingers hard itself, not your fingers

Now move your hands to another part of your head and repeat the process

Combination hair

Wash as soon as you feel your head itchy and dirty

Do not rub the shampoo into the dry ends, instead of massage the shampoo into the hand

  • Eat plenty of protein-containing foods, fresh fruits, and vegetables, cut fried foods, starches, sugary food
  • Wash your hair at least twice in a week

  • Massage at least once a week to increase the blood circulation and blood supply to hair roots
  • Massaging is not recommended for oily hair

  • If you go for swimming always rinse saltwater or chlorine out of your hair straight away then shampoo
  • never over wash your hair because this strips the hair of its natural oils
  • Do not apply shampoo directly mix it with a half mug of water and dilute it and then use shampoo
  • Don’t dry your hair in the hot sun or drier allow them to dry naturally, rub softly with a soft towel and remove clogs neatly
  • Do not use too much hot water nor cold water use lukewarm water to wash
  • Don’t leave hairs always freely, at least when you are at home tie them up with a band
  • Comb at least 3-4 times a day for good circulation of blood in your hair roots
  • Avoid dyes, hair colours, prefer henna, use coconut oil, to avoid hair fall
  • Due to pollution or journey it hair gets dust then wash off your hairs that day

The shape of the hair depends on the health of the hair, depending on the shape there are four types

  1. Straight hair
  2. Curly hair
  3. Heavy and thick hair
  4. Thin and minute hair

Color of the hair depends on the color pigments in the cortex
The color of the hair mainly depends on the shape, size, and quantity of color pigments

The chemical composition of the colour pigments of red, black, and golden hair is different the actual colour depends on them

Black hair is because of presence melanin named chemical

The growth in more in summer than winters, the maximum growth of the hair is 15 and 30

Cutting and shaving do not affect the growth of the hair only the beauty increases

A balanced diet helps in hair growth

The hair becomes thin, fragile, dry, and become light-coloured, and starts falling due to protein deficiency

If the fatty acid reduces in the body hair falls, protein intake boosts hair growth

Two types of protein must that is gelatine and cicerone for growth

in short iron protein, fatty acids and a balanced diet is very important for the growth of the hair

Taking care

It’s better to use a brush than comb the comb if used should have round bristles instead of pointed bristles

Avoid the use of hard thick brushes because hair breaks more due to its use and also harms the scalp

Do not use the comb harshly as it damages the hair

Selecting shampoo

Shampoo not only cleans the hair but helps in enhancing the beauty

It is important to select a shampoo according to the texture of the hair

It depends on whether your hair is dry, oily, or normal
Shampoos with chemicals are dangerous for the hair, it is a better alternative herbal shampoos

Homemade shampoos for all hair types

Lime shampoo

  • Amla – 100 gm Reetha -200 gm
  • Shikakai – 200 gm Glycerine – 8 tsp
  • Char – 100 gm Water – 2 and half ltr
  • Charila – 100 gm Lime juice – 4 tsp
  • Khus – 100 gm Sodium benzoate – 1 anf half tsp

Boil the first five ingredients in water till mixture becomes half of the quantity

Strain it and add rest of the ingredients, Rinse the hair apply the shampoo for 2-3 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water

fenugreek – shikakai shampoo

  • Fenugreek – 250 gm
  • Shikakai – 1 kg
  • Orange / lemon peels – handful

Crush all these ingredients into a powdery form and use this powder as you do others

But remember to soak this powder in a half cup water 2 hours before using it

Neem shampoo

  • Gram flour – 1 kg
  • Sandalwood powder – 4-5 cups
  • Shikakai powder- 1 kg

Mix these thoroughly by sieving keep it in an airtight bottle

When needed for washing soak 2 tbsp of it in a cup of water then apply

Quantity can be increased or lessen as required good for all types of hair
